Hanssen, Gro Sandkjær

Gro Sandkjær Hanssen is attached to the Department of Welfare, Democracy and Governance Research. She has a degree in political science and specialises in democracy theory. Research interests concern challenges facing local government and multi-level governance. She has studied regional and local government and has also worked on issues of relevance to e-democracy and e-government. Current projects explore challenges to government in urban development and multi-level government in the area of environmental policy. Hanssen has been involved in several significant EU projects under the sixth and seventh EU framework programmes.
