Knudtzon, Lillin Cathrine

Lillin Cathrine Knudtzon has a degree in sociology and works in NIBR’s Department of Housing and Environmental Planning Research. One of her areas of competence is evaluation of government administration, of which she has long-standing experience from performance auditing at the Office of the Auditor General. Knudtzon has previously done studies of housing environment, housing for the disadvantaged and competence centres for persons with rare disorders at the Norwegian Building Research Institute (currently Sintef Building and Infrastructure). Current fields of studies include the enactment of the government’s action programme to ease access for people with degrees of disability, the Urban Action Plan for Mental Health, decision-making in housing cooperatives and joint ownerships, public health, and the involvement of youth and children in democratic processes in the Norwegian municipalities.

Knudtzon has worked nationally and internationally on environmental auditing and written an international handbook on waste management auditing.
