Mostowska is a guest researcher at the Department for Housing and Environmental Planning Research from January till June 2010. Her project is "Migration and homelessness: Geographies of exclusion and support". The main goal of the project is to conduct fieldwork for a study of the housing situation of migrants in Norway. The project will specifically focus on cases of homelessness amongst the Polish migrants in the city of Oslo.

Mostowska holds a PhD from the Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology. The title of her thesis is "The concept and implementation of the neigbourhood idea in Poland, Belgium and the Netherlands after WWII"
