Langeland, Ove

Ove Langeland is attached to the Department for Socioeconomic and Territorial Studies, and is coordinator of the cross-disciplinary priority research area Comparative Territorial Research in Europe and OECD Area. He has long experience with studies of territorial development in Norway and Europe, with a particular focus on innovation and business development in large cities and urban areas. Ove Langeland is also highly experienced in the study of network analysis, economic organisation and knowledge leadership. Current projects explore regional and urban development, and focus on cities as centres of innovation and creativity. He is also studying challenges facing policymaking and government in various city regions. Ove Langeland has headed and participated in a number of Nordic and international projects. He led, for instance, a project on the territorial impact of sectoral policy under the European Spatial Planning Observation Network (ESPON).
